Thumb Butte and Monsoon Lightning – Greeting Card

Monsoon Storms in Arizona are quite exciting. Not only do they cool the summer heat down and provide very necessary moisture, they are an endless source of great photo opportunities. One afternoon a storm came up from the southeast, not the usual direction, which allowed me to capture the lightning behind Thumb Butte. I had been hoping to get this shot for a number of years, and was fortunate to be in the right place at the right time. Yay !
